In 2005, Avatar's offspring's show highlights include:
- Blue ribbon and Reserve Color Champion Gray Female at The Futurity
- Reserve Gray Color Champion Male at the Virginia Classic
- Blue ribbon and Reserve Color Champion Gray Male at The Futurity
- Blue ribbon and Color Champion Gray Female at the Level 5 Great Western Alpaca Show
- Blue ribbon and Color Champion Gray Female at the National AOBA Show.
Since that year his offspring have racked up a slew of championships and ribbons. We are working on a web site devoted to Avatar's Star babies - more soon on that!
Here are some of the fleece analysis results from Avatar's kid's one year old fleeces, here at Delphi:
19.3 AFD / 3.4 SD / 17.6 CV / 1.0% > 30 (Dev)
16.3 AFD / 2.6 SD / 16.1 CV / 0.7% > 30 (Lev)
17.0 AFD / 2.4 SD / 14.1 CV / 0.2% > 30 (Rav)
17.7 AFD / 2.3 SD / 13.0 CV / 0.4% > 30 (App)
18.0 AFD / 3.2 SD / 17.9 CV / 0.9% > 30 (Chev)
18.8 AFD / 3.0 SD / 16.0 CV / 0.3% > 30 (Ava)
This combination of fineness and uniformity is remarkable. We can't wait to meet the next crop!

This is THE guy we have picked to match with our Avatar girls.
We chose Toledo from Magical Farms' crop of weanlings in 2003, and since then I've had so much fun watching him show exceptionally well with the best of the best grays in the country. He was awarded the Blue and then nearly chosen for Reserve Champion at a level 5 show judged by Julio Sumar in 2005. In 2006 Mike Safley commented very enthusiastically about his fleece to his handler at a level 5 show, awarding him a second place ribbon, the first place going to Crescent Moon's ATV Adonnis - one of the most successfully shown gray males in the country. At the same show Toledo was awarded First place and Color Champion Gray fleece in the fleece show.
Toledo is jointly owned with our friends, Lynda and Ken Maul, and their partner Christa Cushman, all of Dolores Colorado.
Toledo is very typey with a gorgeous head and a perfect bite. The picture of his fleece above is from 2007 - that high frequency high luster crimp just won't quit. And the Density! Wow! His first cria was a bay black male from a fawn dam. This cria has excellent conformation - super typey - and wonderful dense soft fleece full of character at just 6 months.
The second is a bay black female beauty that was awarded a second place at her first showing, Jude said she missed first "by a whisker". His 3rd cria a the rose gray boy, Deveron. Deveron was awarded a Blue ribbon at SWRAS. Toledo's 4th and 5th crias are a fawn and silver gray girls. His 6th cria is Speyburn Shadow - a fawn or indefinite light boy with an absolutely breathtaking fleece. Speyburn was awarded a second place in a large light fawn, full fleece halter class at the Nationals! Mike Safley loved his fleece.
We are on pins and needles awaiting Toledo's crop this year - and can you imagine him bred to our Avatar girls? We can! ;^

Typey, Presence, Coverage, Attitude! Dino's got it and he knows it. This guy is a rare find in very strong color genetics.
He offers very good density, an extremely nice handle to his fleece, and bold crimp too. For a look at his kids - see below - His son Dino's M&M has been showing Extremely Well - Dino would be Proud! 2 Reserve Championships in Halter and 3 Championships in Fleece - see details by clicking his link below.
Dino has been alternating visits between the Dolores area, and the Coaldale / Penrose area, where he is available for breeding.
Dino won several top awards during his show career in Canada. Dino comes from two gray parents, and has produced exceptional offspring. Another of his phenomenal daughters, Misti Fire, has recently produced a rose grey girl for her proud new owner, Alpacaknights of Kentucky.
Dino's maternal brother, GNLC Maximus Paca, brought home a blue from the 2006 Nationals - and his class included the 2006 Futurity Reserve Champion gray male (who placed second)! We are so excited to see Dino's crias this year.
We are pleased to present Dino - an awesome addition to Delphi's black and gray genetics. We share Dino with Shadow Ranch Alpacas of Dolores, Colorado; and Phantom Canyon Alpacas of Penrose, Colorado.

**Zep wins Black Color Champion at the 2009 Fallfest Fleece Show** (17 entries)
**Zep wins Blue at the 2009 AOBA World Fleece Show**
a class of 5, which consisted of Zeppelin, a Snowmass entry, the Blue Ribbon winner at Level 5 North American Alpaca Show, the Blue Ribbon winner at the Northeast Alpaca Show (class of 11) and the Reserve Champ of the MOPACA invitational.
Zeppelin sheared 6 pounds of fleece from 10 months growth in 09 - which annualizes to 7.2 pounds for his baby fleece. Calculate in the fineness - and those stats are superior.
See stats for both years above.
Color checked as a bay black in every show - Zeppelin has brown and grey on his chest, belly and legs.
Zeppelin's dad, Taos, a stunning Legacy son, currently has a 22.9 AFD at 7 yrs.
Zeppelin's mom's gorgeous fleece tested at 21.3 AFD at 7 years as well. Zeppelin also offers correct conformation, impressive presence, size, coverage, and substance of bone. His beautiful crimp, luster and lock structure are stunning - and the staple length is extreme.
Buck's Meadow Farm Alpacas in Michigan has developed an awesome breeding program in a short time by selecting an extremely high quality foundation herd. We thank David and Julie Wroblewski for making Zeppelin available - we are thrilled to add Zeppelin to Delphi Alpacas' herd sires.
At 2009 GWAS, Zeppelin was awarded 2nd Place in a class of 10 (which included the 2X Color Champ of the Kentucky Classic and Alpacapalooza, as well as 14X Champion Knight Rider). Zeppelin & the eventual champion Knight Rider were compared very favorably by the judge, Ruth Elvestad. We are excited to show Zeppelin with his third fleece in 2010 & 2011 - He just gets better!
